The Nextstage Design roadshow—Gene, Tony, and intern Mitchell Cramond—paid a visit to Tony’s latest project in New York City. Tony was theater planner and project manager for the recently opened Whitney Museum until the very final stages of construction. He worked with museum staff, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, and Cooper Robertson and Partners on the 200-seat multipurpose theater and 50-seat film and video gallery. (This was while Tony was at Theatre Projects.) Our host was theater manager Lana Mione—in her fifth week on the job! She and Tony discussed the theater and its equipment. Their verdict so far—the room is both exquisitely detailed and highly functional.
