Nextstage Design is collaborating on a new four-building complex at Tanglewood with William Rawn Associates and Kirkegaard Associates, the architect and acoustician who designed the festival’s famed Ozawa Hall. The new all-season complex will provide performance and rehearsal space for the Tanglewood Music Center and facilities for the Tanglewood Learning Institute, a new initiative that will offer education and enrichment programs to Boston Symphony Orchestra audiences. The largest building will provide flexible a space seating 200 patrons for concerts and up to 300 persons for education programs, in addition to accommodating rehearsals, banquets, and other social gatherings. Two additional, smaller studios will provide space for small ensemble rehearsals, master classes, and lectures.
